Our bioplastic gloves are made from synthetic bioplastic combined with plant-starch – Ecopond.
Each paper dispenser contains 100 pairs of unprinted, single-use gloves.
These gloves are certified home compostable (AS5810) and commercially/industrially compostable (AS4736) to Australian standards. That means these gloves are accepted wherever there are municipal organic waste collection services. If they do end up in the environment, they will biodegrade more rapidly than conventional plastic gloves.
Bioplastics have a 6-month shelf life from purchase and must be stored out of the direct sun and below 35°C.
Clear and accurate data is essential to understanding our impact on the environment and finding solutions to reduce it. The label below shows how a carton of this product impacts our planet. As a leader in sustainable packaging, this label is our way of being transparent, accountable, and committed to combating greenwashing.
The eco-cost calculated per carton, offers our customers a straightforward metric to understand and compare the environmental impacts of our products. Please note that it is not a hidden or added fee to the product's market price.
The eco-cost is independently calculated across four categories – biodiversity loss, effects on human health, material scarcity, as well as the more standard carbon emissions. BioPak utilises this data to identify areas with the greatest potential for environmental impact reduction, it is our job to reduce the eco-cost and your impact.
