Sustainable Plates Made From Sugarcane Pulp
BioPak provides disposable takeaway plates that are crafted from bagasse, a by-product of the sugarcane refining industry that would otherwise be wasted. Our newest range of BioCane plates are made with no added PFAS, and will be certified home compostable (AS5810) in September. To be certified compostable and carry the Home Compostable logo, suitable biopolymer materials must undergo a costly and stringent test regime outlined by AS 5810-2010 and be carried out by recognised independent and accredited laboratories. Learn more about this home composting certification on the Australian Bioplastic Association website. It takes up to one year for a product range to obtain a home compost certification. These sustainable plates are an excellent option for catering, picnics, and parties, and they come in various sizes with single or multi-compartment options to accommodate different meal types.
Compostable Food Trays Made From Paper
Our compostable paper food trays are made from recycled paperboard, which means the material used is on its second life and loving it – no trees were cut in the making of our disposable meal trays. Made from fluted board, the sturdy construction of these food trays makes them ideal for hot and greasy foods. These unlined paper trays are compostable and recyclable if they’re not too soiled.
BioCane Food Trays For Foodservice
Our plastic-free BioCane trays include bagasse food trays for food service and produce trays for serving fruit and vegetable packers and producers. These disposable trays are the most sustainable trays available as they are made from sugarcane pulp without added PFAS – which is a waste by-product of the sugar-refining industry that has been repurposed and given a new life. They are strong, durable, water-resistant, suitable for hot and cold foods, and microwave and oven-safe. Our sugarcane trays are available in various sizes with the option of single, five or six compartments. These trays are part of the circular economy and certified home compostable (AS5810 pending) and industrially compostable (AS4736).
