Sustainability Report

2023

Hear From Gary Smith,
BioPak CEO

“The past year has seen incredible growth for BioPak as we continue to work closely with our valued partners, customers and the wider community to champion circularity across the globe. In 2024, we’re keeping up the momentum with incredibly ambitious goals, growth plans and activities for the year ahead. Thank you for being a part of our journey – together, we are one step closer to a world without waste.”

Gary Smith

Our Five Pillars Towards a Circular Economy

These five pillars are the foundation of our mission – a world without waste. We’re disrupting the take, make, waste model and leading the way towards a truly circular economy.

Use rapidly renewable, reclaimed, and plant-based raw materials

Adopt a transparent, responsible and ethical supply chain – always

Look beyond carbon offsets through our Emissions Reduction Plan

Take responsibility for product disposal and end-of-life

Protect the environment and give back to the community

BioPak By The Numbers

January to December 2023

We use business as a force for good – socially and environmentally. In 2023, we continued supporting our charity existing partners, and together we’ve planted trees and fed those in need. We have also onboarded a new charity, MedEarth, that positively impacts lives in developing countries. Overall, through the BioPak Give Back Fund we have dedicated our time, energy and a total of AUD $4,735,014 since 2012.

This report and the associated sustainability initiatives include statements concerning BioPak's future business expectations, goals, and commitments to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives. It is important to note that these forward-looking statements carry inherent risks and uncertainties. The actual results may deviate from the envisaged outcomes due to various factors, including but not limited to the actions of our suppliers and business partners, the market appetite for certain materials and the availability of end-of-life options. In addition, BioPak relies, either wholly or partially, on publicly available information and data provided by our suppliers and business partners.  Further, our ability to verify such information (whether now, in the past, or in the future) may be limited by the integrity of the underlying data available at the relevant point in time and the status and evolution of global, supranational and national laws, guidelines and regulations in relation to the tracking and provision of such data.
