Made from renewable plant sugars and vegetable oils through a unique fermentation process to create PHA resin that contains no fossil fuel-based plastic. These 8oz PHA BioCups are certified home compostable (AS5810) and industrially compostable (AS4736). While PHA resin is marine biodegradable (ASTM D 6691), our cups aren’t certified for marine biodegradability to prevent littering.

The first company to bring it to the Australian market, PHA is a coffee cup lining that’s certified home compostable and contains no fossil-based plastic.
PHA is a step forward in sustainable packaging as it doesn't contain fossil fuel-based plastic.
PHA resin is certified marine biodegradable, meaning if it accidentally gets into the sea, it will break down significantly faster than regular plastic, ensuring that no microplastics persist in the long term. However, while PHA resin is marine biodegradable, manufactured products that don't have marine applications, like our cups, can't be certified as marine biodegradable to avoid littering. Our PHA cups are made from sustainably sourced FSC™ Mix certified paper. It is a heavy-duty, premium quality board giving our paper cups superior stability, better lid fit, and insulation.
These cups are certified home compostable to European standards (NFT51-800), and the Australian home compostable certification (AS5810) is underway.
