Our brown paper cups with lids are certified industrially compostable to European Standard EN13432, which means they will biodegrade or break down in a commercial composting facility. As they are lined with Ingeo™  – a bioplastic made from plants – these kraft cups need special conditions such as controlled temperatures and machinery to break them down back into soil. This means they are not suitable for home composting (yet), but the BioPak team is working on it!
