Takeaway convenience usually comes at a cost to the earth, with conventional single-use food service ware like paper plates often being made with paper from old-growth forests and plastic plates being made from fossil fuels. BioPak’s eco-disposable plates are made from reclaimed and rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp  – a waste by-product of the sugar-refining industry. They are made from plastic-free plant fibres with no added PFAS, these containers are certified home compostable (AS5810 pending) and industrially compostable (AS4736).
