Looking to buy takeaway coffee cups online? Not all disposable coffee cups are created equal. Traditional takeaway coffee cups are often made with conventional plastic derived from fossil fuels.
BioPak disposable coffee cups with lids are made from premium paper and lined with Ingeo™ — a bioplastic made from plants, not oil. These single wall takeaway cups are printed with non-toxic, environmentally-friendly water or soy-based inks. We use heavy-duty, premium-quality paperboard to give our insulated coffee cups superior stability, insulation, and lid fit.
With a range of size options — including 8oz, 10oz, and 12oz paper coffee cups – there’s a disposable solution to fit every drink, from a cortado to extra-large lattes. Plus, your takeaway drinks will look as good as they taste with our eye-catching printed Art, trendy Kraft, and classic White single-wall paper coffee cups.
Don’t forget to pair your disposable cups with wooden coffee stirrers, cup trays, and hot cup lids to prevent spills and keep takeaway drinks hot for longer. You might also want to browse our clear cold cups — ideal for sodas, milkshakes, iced lattes, and more.

Single wall cups require less energy and paper to manufacture compared to double wall cups. Transport-related emissions are reduced by the lower weight and more compact carton size of the single wall cup. Single-wall paper coffee cups are suitable for most hot drinks, although you may want to offer your customers more comfort by double-cupping or offering coffee cup sleeves with those extra-hot drinks orders.
However, for very hot drinks like tea or black coffee, using double-wall cups might be more eco-friendly in the long term, as well as being more comfortable for your customers. Learn about the difference between single wall and double wall coffee cups in our blog.
It is estimated that the world uses 500 billion plastic cups each year, with 16 billion paper cups comprising that total. This is an extraordinary amount of packaging that ultimately ends up in landfills. The use of the term ‘biodegradable’ when describing paper coffee cups can be misleading to consumers as almost anything is ‘biodegradable’ along with single-use plastic items; they will degrade over time in the environment, breaking down into microplastics. In addition, there is no independent certification for biodegradable items or any regulation for using this term.
For BioPak, ‘biodegradable’ was not a total solution to the world’s massive waste problem. Instead, we sought a circular solution and created our certified compostable disposable cups. Composting is a responsible end-of-life solution for our products, and our single-wall coffee disposable cups have EN13432 certification, meaning they will completely biodegrade in an industrial compost facility.
On top of this, we have created a platform called Compost Connect to help cafes and restaurants find industrial compost partners to collect not only our certified compostable packaging but their food waste as well. We recommend contacting your local council authority or waste collection provider to confirm what is accepted in your organic waste bins.
