From humble beginnings—starting with just two people, a trestle table and a vision—Gary has steered BioPak to become a global leader in creating compostable packaging solutions from responsibly sourced materials. Today, with a 200-strong team, BioPak exemplifies what it means to balance profit with purpose, driving change that aligns business success with environmental and societal betterment.
Key Highlights from the Awards
Gary was selected from 16 remarkable finalists, all of whom demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, and a commitment to national and global impact. Judges praised Gary for his ability to merge innovation with action, transforming BioPak into a catalyst for change within the foodservice packaging industry.
Linda Brown, chair of the judging panel and former Entrepreneur Of The Year awardee, commended Gary's leadership filled with “persistence, hard work and a bold vision”:
