Created from a shared love of good food and cider, Sangers Deli is an up and coming delicatessen and pizzeria that is reinventing the independent food scene in Worcester. Started by former rugby players from Worcester Warriors, John, Ethan and Niall have been serving up delicious Detroit-style pizzas, gourmet sandwiches and superb coffee to their happy customers since 2021.
Since its inception, Sangers Deli has set itself apart from its competitors by offering a unique dining experience. Located in the historic Victorian railway arches, they offer fresh fare daily like sandwiches, coffee and other treats during the day and Detroit style-pizzas with various sides by night. All these are made with locally sourced ingredients and served up in compostable packaging.
Sangers Deli and BioPak have partnered up to ensure that the Deli is not only a unique hub for the community but an environmentally friendly one too. Since switching to BioPak’s compostable coffee cups, hot food boxes, and pizza boxes, Sangers Deli has offset 658 kilograms of carbon as well as avoided 70 kilograms of plastic and the 69 litres of crude oil used to make it. Despite being a young business, they have consistently made sustainability a top priority.
