Category Details

  • We have transitioned the entire production of our cup range to feature Aqueous lining instead of PLA. These cups are now officially certified as home compostable according to Australian AS5810 standards. As we phase out our existing inventory, it's possible that you might still receive cups in a PLA bioplastic-lined carton. Rest assured, both the carton and the cups inside are clearly labeled with home compost certifications, allowing you to easily identify the stock you've received.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Cup artwork might differ as we feature different artists every 3 months. Pictured here are designs from the latest Art Series edition. Unfortunately, we cannot sell individual art cups and cannot guarantee which prints or which series of prints will be in each carton.
  • Our aqueous cups are manufactured using a unique waterproof barrier coating, reducing the material needed while providing the same leak and grease-proof benefits as other coatings. Want to know more about our aqueous cups? Check out our materials page!
  • We make the ordinary extraordinary by offering the humble paper cup as a canvas to promote talented artists and connect consumers to the environment. Check out #biocupartseries on Instagram to see our vibrant community.
  • BioCup Art Series are certified home compostable (AS5810) and industrially compostable (AS4736).
  • We use a heavy-duty, premium quality board, giving our paper coffee cups superior stability, better lid fit and insulation.
  • These sustainable coffee cups are printed with non-toxic, environmentally-friendly water or soy-based inks.
  • We have two universal lid solutions in our Art Series range. Our 80mm diameter 6, 8 and 12oz BioCups fit our small lids. Our 90mm diameter 8, 12 & 16 BioCups fit our large lids.

Environmental Impact Label

Clear and accurate data is essential to understanding our impact on the environment and finding solutions to reduce it. The label below shows how a carton of this product impacts our planet. As a leader in sustainable packaging, this label is our way of being transparent, accountable, and committed to combating greenwashing.

The eco-cost below, calculated per carton, offers our customers a straightforward metric to understand and compare the environmental impacts of our products. Please note that it is not a hidden or added fee to the product's market price.

The eco-cost is independently calculated across four categories – biodiversity loss, effects on human health, material scarcity, as well as the more standard carbon emissions. BioPak utilises this data to identify areas with the greatest potential for environmental impact reduction, it is our job to reduce the eco-cost and your impact.
