PROGRESS REPORT

Profit for Purpose

At BioPak, our commitment to the ‘Triple Bottom Line’—People, Planet, and Profit—is at the heart of everything we do. As a proud certified B Corporation, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Our mission is simple yet profound, we use business as a force for good to create a better tomorrow.

Since 2019, we’ve partnered with Shelter UK to create our annual Christmas cup designs, donating 10% of sales to help provide vital support for those facing homelessness or eviction. This year, we raised £1,758 for the cause! Plus, since 2021, our partnership with Ecologi has helped plant over 102,000 trees, contributing to global reforestation efforts.

This year, we proudly celebrated milestones with our key partners, Rainforest Rescue and OzHarvest. In recognition of Rainforest Rescue’s 25th birthday, we launched our first-ever "Give Back Friday" promotion, directing a substantial portion of sales to their cause while encouraging customers to match our contributions. For OzHarvest’s 20th anniversary, we increased our support for their Unite to Feed Australia campaign by donating an additional 50,000 meals, building on our ongoing partnership to fight food insecurity.

We’ve also launched a new Indigenous Art Series in partnership with CorporateConnect.AB to celebrate First Nations’ artists and their rich cultural heritage and deep connections to the land. Through our Indigenous Art Series, we also support CorporateConnect.AB’s efforts in empowering Indigenous youth.

Since launching the BioPak Give Back Fund in 2012, we’ve contributed over AUD $5,298,081 to environmental and social causes, investing not just our funds, but also our time and energy to drive meaningful change.

Customers could match our contributions, doubling the impact. Our goal was to plant up to 1,600 trees, helping restore rainforests, sequester carbon, and support biodiversity.

ON TRACK

New OzHarvest Initiatives

Our series of Cooking for Change events that were held in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane over the last few years has come to an end. Our OzHarvest Christmas Cups will be discontinued after 2024, after three successful years. We’re currently working on new initiatives with OzHarvest on top of our regular partnership.

New KiwiHarvest Initiatives

While our relationship with KiwiHarvest is well established, we’re looking to work on initiatives that elevate our partnership beyond our regular arrangement.

DELAYED

Expand the Leaf BioCup Series

The new Leaf BioCup Series was designed in partnership with Rainforest Rescue in 2024, however the launch was postponed to 2025 for the Australian market. We’re looking to further expand this series in 2025 in partnership with Greenfleet for the New Zealand market featuring local tree varieties.

Find local charities in Singapore and Hong Kong

Through our Give Back Fund, BioPak is committed to supporting charities in every market we serve. With well-established partnerships in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, we’re now focused on expanding our reach to Singapore and Hong Kong. While we continue to search for charity partners aligned with our core pillars (planting trees, donating meals, and saving lives) and that fit our operational framework, we ensure that 5% of profits from these regions are directed to our existing partners. Our dedication to finding the right initiatives remains unwavering as we work to create meaningful impact globally.
