Why We Support This Charity

Foodbank plays a leading role in fighting hunger within Australia in addition to a vital role in tackling Australia’s $20 billion food waste problem and helping the environment.

About The Charity

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nationwide.

They are the pantry to the charity sector. They fight hunger by providing food for 815,000 Australians each month and they advocate for the almost 1 in 5 Australians who experience food insecurity each year.

Foodbank is a not-for-profit, non-denominational organisation operating in every state and territory in Australia. Foodbank Australia is the only Australian food relief organisation that is a certified member of The Global Foodbanking Network (GFN), comprised of 32 member countries, 19 of which are accredited.

Our Impact

We are proud to donate an extensive range of our packaging products to Foodbank. Grocery items such as these are extremely useful to the agencies they supply, such as the Salvation Army Moonyah, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre that runs community meals and soup kitchens for those receiving treatment. This means that they can redirect their funds to their core services.

Being the largest food relief organisation in Australia, their network is far-reaching. Through their network, we are able to get our products in the hands of many – especially those that need it most. With their help, the inconspicuous takeaway container becomes a vessel of hope. It nourishes one’s belly and heart. We do have hope; we’re in this together.
