Finding the most sustainable disposable tray for your food service business isn't hard. BioPak's takeaway trays are available in FSC™recycled paperboard and bagasse pulp. Our paper takeaway food trays are suitable for composting. FSC™ certification guarantees that the paper is sourced from a supply chain that is responsibly managed. Our BioCane takeaway trays made from bagasse are a great plastic-free alternative made from reclaimed plant fibre.
Serving food to consumers on the go? BioPak disposable trays offer a convenient way to package your delicious food both beautifully and hygienically without harm to the environment.
By now, you probably know that takeaway packaging, if made from plastic, can damage our planet. Paper trays are often made from old-growth forests, and plastic trays are made from fossil fuels, with their average usage time being less than 20 minutes. Sadly, many of these items end up in landfills and will break down into microplastic particles, causing further harm to the environment.
When it comes to packaging, BioPak always puts the planet first. Our takeaway trays offer a more sustainable takeaway packaging solution being made from rapidly renewable, responsibly sourced resources like sugarcane pulp and other plant fibres.
Sugarcane Trays
Our home compostable (AS5810) bagasse trays are made from reclaimed and rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp – a by-product of the sugar-refining industry, and mixed with other plant fibres. Compared to paper, sugarcane pulp is even more eco-friendly as it can be harvested annually, and it is a waste by-product that would’ve been otherwise burnt - and they are made with no added PFAS. Due to the bagasse being moldable while retaining its integrity, BioPak sugarcane trays are available in various shapes and sizes with compartments built in.
Paper Food Trays
BioPak paperboard trays are produced from recycled paper which means the forest-based material used to make these food trays is on its second life. These trays are suitable for composting and can be recycled if they’re not too soiled with food. Available in 5 different sizes, these takeaway trays are perfect for market stalls and quick-service restaurants.
