We’ve set a code of conduct for our manufacturing partners to make sure people are treated fairly in the areas we operate. Our partner facilities are certified to SA8000, SMETA or BSCI.
We donate 5% of our profits to social and environmental charities. Since 2012, we’ve donated our time, energy and a total of $5.8 million – including planting or rescuing 210,630 trees through Rainforest Rescue and donating 1,024,389 meals through Oz Harvest, Foodbank Australia, and Kiwi Harvest.

Each state and territory in Australia and New Zealand has different single-use plastic ban guidelines. Check our Plastic Bans guide to see which compostable items are allowed as alternatives in your local area.
When a compostable item is allowed as an alternative, it should be certified by the Australian BioPlastic Association (ABA). ABA is the local accreditation body and is the only source of truth to ensure products are certified to AU and NZ standards. Their website has a list of companies and products that are certified. If a product is not on this list, it’s not certified compostable in Australia and New Zealand.
