Making the switch to BioPak is simple. It’s better for the planet. It’s better for people. It’s better for business.
At our core, we exist to create sustainable packaging that puts the planet first. Since we began in 2006, we've become globally recognised brand. Businesses of all sizes leverage the BioPak brand to win the hearts of conscious consumers.
But we're far from done. We're committed to constant research and development to find better, more sustainable ways of doing things.
We have a whole team dedicated to staying at the forefront of technology, making sure we're leading the charge with the best packaging solutions and are staying ahead of plastic bans and laws (in fact, we are regularly in discussion with governments in relation to regulations).
What does all this mean for you? You'll be choosing the most sustainable packaging solution currently on the market, while also building credibility and future-proofing your business.
Still Have Questions?
Thinking of making the switch to BioPak? We understand if you’ve still got a few questions about our sustainable packaging. We’ve answered some of our most common questions here.
How do I know if a packaging product is recyclable in Australia?
Under the new plastic bans in Australia, can I switch to any item that claims to be compostable?
When a compostable item is allowed as an alternative, it should be certified by the Australian BioPlastic Association (ABA). ABA is the local accreditation body and is the only source of truth to ensure products are certified to AU and NZ standards. Their website has a list of companies and products that are certified. If a product is not on this list, it’s not certified compostable in Australia and New Zealand.
How do I know if packaging is created from responsibly sourced materials?
- The majority of our manufacturing partners' facilities are certified to ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and two are in the process of achieving certifications.
- We’re B Corp certified, which means we’ve met verified higher levels of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
- An FSC™ certification on our wood and paper products makes sure our wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Start Composting at Your Foodservice Business
Compost Connect is a not-for-profit platform connecting foodservice businesses to commercial organic waste pick-up services. With 23 compost partners servicing 2,200+ postcodes across Australia and New Zealand, you can search your postcode to find out if compost collection is available in your area.
We launched Compost Connect to take responsibility for where our packaging ends up. Food and organic waste decomposing in landfill emits methane, a greenhouse gas that’s on average 28 times more potent than CO2. By joining Compost Connect, you’ll be diverting waste from landfill, reducing emissions, showing your commitment to environmental sustainability, and turning your food and packaging waste into nutrient-rich compost!
