Category Details

  • We have transitioned the entire production of our cup range to feature Aqueous lining instead of PLA. These cups are now officially certified as home compostable according to Australian AS5810 standards. As we phase out our existing inventory, it's possible that you might still receive cups in a PLA bioplastic-lined carton. Rest assured, both the carton and the cups inside are clearly labeled with home compost certifications, allowing you to easily identify the stock you've received.
  • In partnership with CorporateConnect.AB (CCAB) and Supply Nation, we offer a paper cup featuring Indigenous art by Davinder Hart, Kulka Fahey, and Amy Saunders.
  • Cup sales support activities for the Ethan Indigenous IT Cadetship Program, which teaches Australian and Torres Strait Islander youth digital literacy and provide pathways to careers in IT and administrative services.
  • BioCup double wall disposable coffee cups are designed with an extra layer of paperboard and a textured pattern for additional insulation to protect consumers. Double wall takeaway coffee cups are a more economical solution than double-cupping extra-hot drinks like teas and long blacks.
  • These disposable cups are manufactured using a unique dispersion coating instead of traditional plastic or bioplastic. Aqueous-coated cups are certified home compostable to Australian (AS5810) standards. They are also certified industrially compostable to Australian standards (AS4736) and European standards (EN13432).
  • These compostable cups are printed with non-toxic, environmentally-friendly water or soy-based inks.
  • Our disposable coffee cups with lids have a 12-month shelf life.

Environmental Impact Label

Clear and accurate data is essential to understanding our impact on the environment and finding solutions to reduce it. The label below shows how a carton of this product impacts our planet. As a leader in sustainable packaging, this label is our way of being transparent, accountable, and committed to combating greenwashing.

The eco-cost calculated per carton, offers our customers a straightforward metric to understand and compare the environmental impacts of our products. Please note that it is not a hidden or added fee to the product's market price.

The eco-cost is independently calculated across four categories – biodiversity loss, effects on human health, material scarcity, as well as the more standard carbon emissions. BioPak utilises this data to identify areas with the greatest potential for environmental impact reduction, it is our job to reduce the eco-cost and your impact.
